Five days at Rivedoux-Plage on the Ile de Re, covering salsa's regional traditions from New York and Puerto Rico to Cuba, Colombia and Venezuela.
Only Salsa is held at the Salle des fetes Robert Vergnaud in Rivedoux-Plage, on the Ile de Re, with the sea two minutes from the accommodation and socials facing the water. It is run by Achile Dinga, who also organises SWOB on the same island.
The framing is regional rather than stylistic: the organisers bill the island as the capital of New York, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Colombian and Venezuelan salsa. In practice the centre of gravity is on2. The 2026 edition brought Marco Ferrigno and Ansima, Samuel and Lisa, Alex Toledo and Antonio Dabbicco, with Osbanis and Aneta the one partnership with Cuban roots. Cuban salsa is one strand of five rather than the frame.
Worth coming for the setting and the breadth if you dance several styles. If you are travelling specifically for casino and timba, there are stronger choices in France.
