Timbalemania

Augsburg, Germany

A weekend where three shared dinners and a city tour are part of the pass, not extras. Entirely Cuban, no second room.

Poster for Timbalemania 2027
Sold as a family weekend rather than a congress, and the pass reflects it: three days of workshops and four parties, but also three shared dinners in local restaurants and community activities around the city. Places are limited and the leader to follower ratio is managed, which is the sort of thing only a small event can promise. Entirely Cuban, with no bachata or kizomba room to wander into. Alongside the workshops there is a Timbarena, a DJ bootcamp with Jack el Calvo, and a separate six-hour casino formation aimed at teachers and advanced dancers. Baila Augsburg runs three festivals a year in this same club, each with a different shape: this one in April, La Descarga pairing Cuban with Dominican in November, and Para el alma divertir given entirely to son in January. Passes come in two families. The full pass carries the dinners and activities; the local passes cover workshops and parties only, for people who do not need feeding and lodging.
